Experience for the future of orthopedics

We connect tradition to the future

For over 50 years we have drawn on a healthy mix of tradition and innovation.

Over the decades, through our targeted expansion within the footwear component market, we have built up unique expertise - a constant guiding force in our product development. Our portfolio ranges from wooden heels to tension sleeves for insert pins, and from the manufacture of outer soles to industrial injection molding. Our commitment throughout, to individual, high-quality solutions translates into corresponding value for-money-results.

Through in-depth professional consultation, we incorporate our customers’ extensive experience in their craft into the development of state-of-the-art technical solutions. Thus the heritage of craftsmanship, backed by the latest science, is integral to the development of the whole SPANNRIT insole range.

His hobby made to profession.

Roland Katzer, the idea giver of the third generation.

Everything started with an allergy to solvents.

If something should be more efficient, it´s best to get a stranger to the industry. Someone who questions the expiries. And logically thinks over.

Roland Katzer made this with Spannrit. As an across beginner he took over the family enterprise in the third generation. „This must be better anyhow qualitatively“, imagined the 43-year-old when he stuck together the insole components for his customers by hand. The trigger was his allergy to oil and solvents. The technology fan fiddled around, until he and his machine engineer had optimized the production processes till the smallest detail. Eight patents originated out of this. Even today they are used in almost all products.

Today, 18 machines are computer-aided and take over the part of the work that even the most skilled hand would not be able to achieve with this precision. All insoles are made of universal materials without transitions or edges. The blank insoles are then individualized by hand. Each one for each individual order. Only computer-aided where it makes sense. Everything else in manual labor.

More than 60 years of history.

Ideas from today are innovations of tomorrow.
